SQL 2012 is only supported for Version 9.05.702+

So that is probably why this is happening because that upgrade is running on
a 9.04 Epicor installation, it's just bundled with the 9.05 install.

Now I am getting an errors during the installing which states

RESTORE DATABASE [EpicorDataUpgDB] From Disk = ....

It just hangs and doesn't go any further.

I don't see any hidden boxes or anything else.

I am up for suggestions. I also have a call into EPICOR.

Might be an issue putting the SQL DB in place, either because your user
doesn't have permission, or because there is already a DB there with the

All permissions seems well. The ODBC connection that the EpicorDBUpgrade.exe creates is not Testing successfully. I changed to the sa and still fails.
The EpicorDataUpgDB is being created by the EpicorDBUpgrade.exe and when I go to the SQL Server Mgt Studio and R-Click the DB and get to the properties. General is all that shows up. I also get the "Database is not accessible" error when attempting to "look" at the SQL EpicorDataUpgDB .

Am I missing a step somewhere?

All permissions seems well. The ODBC connection that the EpicorDBUpgrade.exe

The EpicorDataUpgDB is being created by the EpicorDBUpgrade.exe and when I
go to the SQL Server Mgt Studio and R-Click the DB and get to the

Epicor support told me to skip the restore do it manually. This is the second time I went through the Data Upgrade process and the EpicorDBUpgrade tool handled it last time <scratch head>. Oh well.

No problem. Completed.

Now I am having the following problem.

I am Using the Epicor Data Upgrade Utility Guide 9.05.700

I made it through that process and ran the Schema change with no problem. I am at the part with the 904EpicorDataUpgAS needs started.

I get an error stating

I am having problems with the EpicorDBUpgrade utility.

1. I have generated the UOM in the 8.03 portion of the instruction.

2. Closed the conversion

3. Created the UOMDB backup by

a. #proenv> cd c:\epicor\mfgsys803\Clientserver\cv\

b. #proenv> probkup uomdb uomdb.bak

i. Backup stored at: c:\epicor\mfgsys803\Clientserver\cv\

4. Rebooted the Server

5. Started the OE 10.2A service.

a. Check process monitor and waited till service is running completely

6. Go to C:\Epicor\Epicor905\EpicorDBUpgrade

7. Run EpicorDBUpgrade.exe

a. Select NEXT --> on Welcome

b. SQL Database Backup Location

i. (Unchecked) - Skip Database Restore

ii. Move to local: C:\SQLServerBackups\<pick>.bak

iii. UOM Database Backup Location: c:\epicor\mfgsys803\Clientserver\cv\uomdb.bak

c. Install Database file to: <use default> C:\Epicor\Epicor905\db\Upgrade904

d. Select SQL Instance TAF2K8DATACONV

i. Authentication Mode: Windows Authentication

At this point I receive an error stating
