999,999 job numbers

Thank you both for your replies.  We are using 9.05.701, I went into our test environment and was able to change the length under job number generator to 7 and tested fine.

We are considering a change that would reduce the quantity of parts made on jobs and create more jobs with smaller quantities. We would still be years away from having to deal with it but with the job numbers running out at 999,999, has anyone had to deal with the limit of numbers available?

Not sure what version you are on but in E9 JobNum has 14 characters so I assume if you keep upgrading you will be fine
