Virtualization and Dynamic Memory

@aidacra this question is probably best for you, but look forward to all responses.

Currently testing Epicor 10.2.300.2, planning to install latest patch within a week. In the new company model the application server and sql server are being moved to MS Hyper-V. The VMs are assigned dynamic memory allocation instead of fixed memory allocation. Doing some research it looks like SQL 2017 Standard does not support Hyper-V dynamic memory allocation to the VM. As a result, I am concerned performance and memory needs to SQL could be choked depending on the initial assignment at VM boot up time. Can you provide some insight or recommendations? Maybe a document on Epicweb I need to review. I want to get the correct information to the network team.

Thanks!
Josh
