[VANTAGE] exporting

Hello Diane,

I do a lot of exporting for our company , and dump it into a an Excel spread
sheet.
I was wondering if you enter the service explanation anywhere else such as
P.O. or AP.
If it is entered there , You will be able to pull the information and create
a spread sheet.
If you need more of explanation call , I would be happy to walk you through
it.

Hello all,

Using the export utility - is it possible to export memos (specifically
looking at vendor memos now but I am sure it applies to all memos) into an
Access database or Excel spreadsheet? We are trying to build a searchable
database where we can enter our vendors by the services they provide - then
set filters and search by a particular service and see a listing of all the
vendors that provide that service. We were thinking that it would be
easiest to use the memo fields but cannot seem to get them to export
properly - any suggestions?? Thank you in advance.

Diane, it seems that a VB Form in the vendor header would work better for
you. The info from a VBF is available to export or to use in Report Builder
or Crystal.

Have you tried using VBforms. Its not very difficult to set up check boxes and or drop down lists. We've done this for our vendors and use it to remind us when they need a QS assesment.
