V4 Payroll blowing up Metaframe sessions

(system) #1
yes we had to do the same thing also. We have a great HP4000 that is using a
hpII driver strictly for payroll. Epicor has to update their driver support

We had this same problem. What we ended up doing was changing the Lexmark
print drivers to HP4si Print drivers and now everything is OK. . It wasn't
just payroll printing that caused the reboot on our system it was all
printing in Vantage.

Hope this helps,

Here's a convoluted mess! The pieces to this puzzle are as follows....
Vantage v4 (90b29 & 400811) specifically payroll reports
MS Terminal Server & Citrix Metaframe 1.8
Printers connected via HPJetDirect 3port external over ISDN through the
remote session user account
First printer is HPDeskJet 855C the second printer Lexmark Optra S 1620
though the problem manifest itself mostly with the Lexmark.
User prints from within the payroll module and is knocked out of
Citrix/Vantage session and Terminal Server reboots.
Has anyone had similar experiences or happenings? Haven't been able to pin
it down to anything specific within payroll; but the problem does not occur
outside of payroll.
