I have been away from this for a number of years, so I need to ask the question. Excluding Shipping and Receiving; When taking physical inventory, outside of backflush operations and auto receive operations, are there reasons we cannot clock in and out of Jobs for setup and production?
Any material assigned to an operation will be deducted if the material is set to backflush and that operation is reported with quantity completed.
Also if you are not using the material backflush flag, then issuing material in the system is a problem.
Besides the system transactions, physically moving materials or in-process WIP on the floor is problematic during physical inventory and the possible recounts that may be needed.
