We input our job information through Epicor e10 in Job Entry. However, our shipping department cannot access job entry in order to edit the jobs since they use the MES version. We have a custom form on our Job Entry forms that allow you to check boxes on whether the item has been “shipped”, has had “materials ordered” and so on. We would like to create a way for our shipping department to access this form so that they may mark when the material has arrived and when the item has shipped, and it can cascade onto our program so the sales side can see what the shipping department has checked. Is there a way to do this? We were thinking of possibly creating a BAQ that updates, then finding a way to tie that BAQ into their MES program so that everyone can have access to the information in Job Entry and we are all see the same thing. What are you recommendations on a way to remedy this issue?
Sounds like you need a few BAQs/Dashboards that are accessible to everyone. Should be pretty simple
The only problem with that is that a UBaq/Udashboard for job entry takes forever… So making any changes in a dashboard is going to be slow at best.
Hmm it shouldnt take that long… What are you updating?
Remember the whole populating a UDtable saga that I just went through? Just to get part entry to run on one row in a Ubaq takes our system 2 minute. One field, one row. And I’m not the only one with this problem.
