VMUG JULY 2000 MEETING
WHAT IS THE MEETING ABOUT?
VANTAGE ENHANCEMENTS & FIXES
Our agenda will center around preparations for the August Vantage Summit in Minneapolis. We will be analyzing modules, and seeking suggestions for both enhancements and fixes to be included into the next major release of Vantage.
REPRESENTATIVE NOMINATION
At the meeting we will also be voting in one representative to be sent to the Summit to present our suggestions (at the User Group's expense), along with one alternate. The nominations need to be made and sent to Mike England by 7/18/00 4:30 pm CST.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?
Last year we collected your comments and suggestions for the Vantage Cairo release. From the Cairo Top 100 Survey, there were over 75 of our issues scheduled to be included in the 5.0 release! This was a first for the User Groups to have such an impact on the direction of the Vantage software product from Epicor. Now that we have this momentum, we need to continue. The meeting scheduled for 7/21 in Chicago is our chance to guide the next release of Vantage.
WHO MAY ATTEND? (aka... How loud can we, uh, participate?)
Since we all cannot be present at the meetings scheduled in Minneapolis in August - the regional user groups is a place where everyone can place their requests. A member company may send as many representatives as they choose to the user group meeting, (and we strongly recommend sending multiple representatives to this meeting as we will be running three to four session topics concurrently), but we must tell the caterer how many we expect, therefore reservations, as stated previously, are required. Please email your reservations (with names of attendees, please) to mike@... or fax them to Mike England at 847-678-5004 by close of business (4:30 pm) on Tuesday, 7/18. (Central Standard Time)
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS?
We are in need of volunteers willing to run the registration desk, moderate sessions or take notes. Volunteers will not pay for the day - YOUR LUNCH IS FREE !
HOW MUCH DOES THIS COST?
Lunch will be served buffet style: Garden Salad, Boneless Breast of Chicken Vesuvio style with potatoe wedges, Linguini Alfredo, Italian Beef and Italian Sausage & Peppers. There will also be coffee and donuts available in the morning. Cost is $10.00 per person.
