Label Printer Problem

We use that printer to print shipping barcodes from VANTAGE with no
problems.

Has it ever worked properly or is this an "out of box" experience? I had a
similar deal with our Zebra Z4M where only from Vantage (using Report
Builder not Crystal) it would not produce multiple copies. All other apps
worked fine. The problem ended up being some really quirky control thing in
the firmware rev level that was messing up the driver. After many calls to
Zebra and working with our distributor I finally got a Zebra tech support
person who knew instantly on hearing about it what the problem was. He told
me to "lie" to the driver setup and give it a different firmware number than
the one the printer was reporting when turned on. Never a problem since.
Might be worth a call to Zebra and ask for an alternate firmware rev level
to use in the driver.

We have purchased a Zebra TLP2844-Z Label Printer and are using Vantage
6.1. I am have problems getting it to print part tags. I get an Error
567 message if I try to print preview and an Error 500 if I just try to
print the label. The printer does work using other software such as
Word, but I can't get it work on Vantage. Likewise, I can print the
labels on a regular inkjet or laser printer, but not on the Zebra.

Does anyone have any suggestions on resolving this issue? It seems to
somehow be connected with Crystal I believe.

I have seen this error if the Crystal Report need to be re-verified. Open
report in Crystal 8.5.2.718 and Choose <Database> <Verify Database>
Then re-save the report.
