Keeping Inventory Filled

Ben,
Another option is doing what Aaron said, but instead of using global
alerts, you can run the time phase material report, selecting manufactured
parts, and "below minimum", which will show you all manufactured parts that
have fallen below the minimum you set.

I would like to make a part to stock, and have 50 on hand at all
times. When we drop below 50, I would like the system to
automatically suggest making 50 more and so on.

How can I do this in Vantage?

Thanks, Ben
Set Your Min in the part master to 50 and set your max to what ever it should be...then check the "Re-order to max" box

Run suggestions daily in purchase management

Once you have a "demand" that takes you below your max that you set it creates a purchase suggestion.

After you run suggestions, you can go to purchase order entry and from the Suggestions menu select New PO and the qty needed to order will be in the list of items.

Ben,
Michelle is directly on for purchased parts. If you would like to Make it
to stock, you can set the min and then activate the global alert for the
part has dropped below minimum to send an email to prompt a job.
Or you can go the expensive way and get MRP and have it generate a job that
you will firm up.
For your limited application, I would suggest the Global Alert.
Good luck,
