How to open PDF from MES using Button / Link

Hi
I want to have a button or link on the MES screen that will open a specific PDF. I will then place links on that PDF to help videos.
I tried using a Button which called a Process Menu item. The Process Menu item works when you test it but fails when it is called from an MES button. When I change the action of the Process Menu item to a BAQ report, it works fine, so I know the button is working but the External Process call is not.
Anyone have any thoughts as to how I could open a PDF from the MES screen?
