HELP HELP Problems with 4.00.811

That is the first user I disabled because everyone new the user and password.

I am going to restore my back up and cross my fingers it works.

as far as i know you better get his user id and password. I could be wrong

We have attempted to update/patch version 4.00.811 today. It is telling
us we need to be Security Manager to complete this patch? We never
needed this with 3.0 - is this correct?

My problem being - I do not have security manager priv. and we have
attempted to do the patch. Only the owner of the company has security
manager priv. and his is on a plane of the country?

Any ideas???

I think I left a DCD username on our system, I think without any
password, as a "backdoor" for a DCD/Dataworks/Epicor rep to get in in
such situations. You may want to check. The password may have been our
company name or something as well.

Plan A - See if you can get into System Utilities / User Maintenance. If you
can, make yourself the security manager by check the check box labeled so.
Plan B - restore from backup tape.
