Error Log Message

Yes the Progress Data Dictionary Tool. It should be accessible with all versions of Progress, but is read only if you don't have ProVision, or one of the other development tools. Click

Start>Programs>Progress

on the machine where Progress is installed. From the Progress options look for Desktop, Data Administration, or Data Dictionary. Open any of of those, then select the help button. You should see the messages and Recent Messages options.
look under the help button on the data dictionary. There are two options. Recent messages will step back through recent error messages. Messages prompts for a message number, and displays an expanded error message, that sometimes will suggest ways around the problem.
Is this on 3.0 or 4.0? I'm not seeing it in 3.

Thanks,

Lydia

Lydia,
I'm pretty sure William is talking about the Progress Data Dictionary tool
rather than the Vantage Data Dictionary Viewer.
If you don't have a license for Progress ProVision (application development
tool), I don't think that you have access to the Progress Data Dictionary
tool.

I suspected that might be the case.
