BA/PM implementing Epicor ERP at its 15 locations throughout the US, and is seeking a dynamic, highly skilled business analyst to take a lead role in specific functional areas and a project management roll for some of the company's smaller plants. This a excellent growth opportunity for a current Epicor “super-user†or functional lead to expand their role to other functional areas and demonstrate their leadership ability to improve business processes related to the implementation.
The ERP Business Analyst provides functional support for various systems and/or applications by working with business users and technical teams. Demonstration of expertise in the specific functional aspects of the applications is necessary. The Business Analyst must be an expert in specific functional areas of the system and possess a working knowledge of related applications or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) modules. Maintenance of current system/industry related knowledge by the ERP Business Analyst on system functionality is vital to meet the needs of the business users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs. Formulates systems to satisfy
business requirements.
• Writes detailed description of user needs, programs, functions and steps required to develop or modify
computer programs.
• Understands and writes the functional requirements in accordance with SOX and other related quality
requirements. Develops test plans and procedures for system changes and the deployment of small
projects.
• Leads complex systems projects and project groups.
• Recommends process improvements.
• Facilitates discussion and develops options for system implementation.
• Develops training materials and leads some training of end users and other staff.
• Other tasks as assigned such as mastering specific technical skills and contributing to the application
programming efforts.
• May be the key contact for outside application/technology providers.
• Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.
Education / Experience:
• Must have participated in at least one Epicor implementation or multiple implementation of other ERP
packages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science or related discipline.
• Technical report writing experience strongly preferred.
Other Skills and Abilities:
• Must have demonstrated leadership ability to clearly identify business issues related to the
implementation, facilitate agreement on solutions at all levels of the organization and bring these
solutions to closure in the context of the implementation.
• Must be comfortable and capable of leading group discussion and facilitating business process
decisions in cross functional groups.
• Ability to travel up to approximately 50% of the time through 2014.
