BAQ does not begin with condition

in a BAQ how is the best way of applying a condition that does not begin with a “Q” or a “U” for JobHead.JobNum?

I wonder if you can use MATCHES instead and do an expression of:

"[^QU]%"

actually, - the screenshot i put up seems to work because it only looks at jobs that begin with 0 and ignores jobs that begin with Q or U (unfirmed jobs).
