I'm a newbie here and started using E9 fairly recently. Faced the same problem when generating COS reports.
The 'Unknown Summary Account' appears at the end of the Cost of Sales statement as an aggregate. I was baffled by it when I first saw it. One way you can get round it is to view the report in 'Detauled Balance Account' mode.
I.e. say if you were to generate COS statement make the following selection:
Report - COS
Book - ABC book (Your company)
Column Set - Standard
Balance Level - Detailed Balance Account
Report Format - Company
Fiscal Year/Period - 2013 9
